On January 15, 2024, ECHA started a 45 day public commenting period (i.e till February 29, 2024) on C18 unsaturated fatty acids, reaction products with 1-aminopropan-2-ol, maleic anhydride and sodium bisulfite, which is under testing proposal by REACH regulation.
Based on Vertebrate testing (in-vivo), this substance proposed to poses long term toxicity to fish.
This substance is used in leather treatment products and textile treatment products and dyes.
