The Central Government has issued an order, known as the Copper (Quality Control) Order, 2023, which applies to goods or article specified in the Schedule annexed to the Order. Goods or article specified must conform to the corresponding Indian Standard and bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards in accordance with Scheme-1 of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. The Bureau of Indian Standards is the certifying and enforcing authority for the goods or article specified in the Schedule.
