The German chemical company Evonik Operations GmbH has filed an appeal against the European Chemicals Agency's (ECHA) decision to register the compound 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol. The ECHA had previously requested the company to produce details on an extended one-generation reproductive toxicity study, but the research was found insufficient by the ECHA. Evonik Operations GmbH is now attempting to have the challenged decision annulled, and the appeal cost refunded.
