ECHA calls for evidence to establish occupational exposure limits for 1,3-Propanesultone

ECHA seeks comments and evidence regarding the establishment of occupational exposure limits (OELs) for 1,3-Propanesultone, a Category 1B Carcinogen. This call supplements the consultation process on ECHA's OEL scientific report, aiming to evaluate exposure to 1,3-Propanesultone and consider options for airborne OELs, other limit values, and notations. It supports regulatory initiatives under Directive 2004/37/EC for worker protection. The call seeks new scientific information on uses, exposure, health effects, toxicology, epidemiology, and modes of action. Industry, academia, NGOs, and other stakeholders are encouraged to contribute. The gathered information will inform the scientific report, which supports the establishment of OELs at the EU level.
