ECHA Opens Consultation On Dazomet Under CLH

On July 08, 2024, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) started the consultation under harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) on dazomet (ISO); tetrahydro-3,5 dimethyl-1,3,5-thiadiazine-2-thione for its acute toxicity (inhalation, dermal, oral), skin irritation, eye irritation, skin sensitisation, germ cell mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, specific target toxicity, aspiration hazard, hazardous to the aquatic environment and hazardous for the ozone layer.
The deadline for comments is on september 09, 2024.

Dazomet (ISO); tetrahydro-3,5-dimethyl-1,3,5-thiadiazine-2-thione is approved for use as a biocide in the EEA and/or Switzerland, for wood preservation.
