The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is seeking comments on the proposed classification and labelling of 1,3-dichloropropene. The substance is being evaluated for various hazard classes, including physical hazards, acute toxicity, skin corrosion/irritation, carcinogenicity, and hazardous effects on the aquatic environment. The consultation period lasts for 60 days, during which stakeholders can provide feedback on the proposed classification. The dossier submitter, Poland, has proposed updates to the existing classification, which includes acute toxicity - oral and dermal, specific target organ toxicity (STOT), presumed to be toxic after repeated exposure. Comments are open for physical hazards, hazards for aquatic environment and hazards for ozone layer until 5th July, 2024. The outcome of the consultation will be available on the Registry of CLH intentions.
