EU Gives Green Light to Ban Disposables in Belgium

The European Commission has approved Belgium's proposed law to ban the sale of disposable electronic cigarettes. The move is part of Belgium's "Smoke-free Generation" federal strategy, aiming to reduce the number of smokers aged 15-24 to 6% or below by 2028. The ban will be effective from January 1, 2026, and Belgium needs approval from the European Commission to comply with European law, particularly the Tobacco Products Directive.
