IUCLID Program to Incorporate New Danger Classifications for Chemicals and Mixtures

Starting April 29, 2024, the IUCLID program will introduce new danger classifications for categorizing, labeling, and packaging chemicals and mixtures. These include endocrine disruptors, persistent, mobile, and toxic (PMT), very persistent and very mobile (vPvM), and persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic (PBT). Businesses can provide details on these risks in their dossiers submitted to ECHA, following CLP, REACH, and Biocidal Products laws. Transition durations vary for different compounds and mixes. ECHA is adding guidance on new IUCLID fields to dossier preparation guidelines and will add the redesigned categorization and labeling inventory to its chemicals database, ECHA CHEM, in autumn 2024.
