ECHA is seeking feedback on the harmonised classification and labelling proposal for benzobicyclone a selective herbicide used in rice fields to control annual grass weeds and some broadleaf weeds. Flammable solids, self-reactive substances and mixtures, pyrophoric solids, self-heating substances or mixtures, oxidizing solids, organic peroxides, corrosion to metals, acute toxicity, skin corrosion/irritation, respiratory sensitization, germ cell mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, specific target organ toxicity, aspiration hazard, hazardous to the aquatic environment, and hazardous to the Ozone layer are examples of exposures. The consultation period began on May 8th, 2023, and will end on July 7th, 2023. Interested parties are encouraged to provide feedback on the hazards associated with benzobicyclon during this time.
