Four major Russian political parties, have proposed legislation to ban the sale of e-cigarettes in Russia. The bill, which prohibits the retail sale of nicotine-containing products, e-liquids, and related products, is expected to be submitted to the Russian State Duma for review in the near future. The bill cites health concerns and rising youth use of e-cigarettes, stating that they will cause irreparable damage to smokers and develop nicotine dependence. The bill also warns that e-liquids without nicotine are harmful and could cause serious lung diseases when inhaled in vapor form.
