On June 1–2, 2026, European Chemicals Agency will host an online IUCLID Demonstration Workshop for stakeholders involved in applications under the European Union Drinking Water Directive (DWD). The workshop is intended to support economic operators and Member State authorities preparing submissions to add, review, or remove starting substances, compositions, or constituents from the European positive list under the DWD framework. Through live demonstrations and question-and-answer sessions, ECHA will provide guidance on preparing DWD applications using IUCLID software, with a focus on DWD-specific IUCLID sections, the newly developed DWD application manual, and planned validation rules for ensuring complete and accurate submissions. ECHA will also present updates on future IUCLID template developments and provide information on the broader DWD Stakeholders’ Workshop scheduled for October 21–22, 2026. The event is part of ECHA’s preparations to support Drinking Water Directive applications from 2027 onwards.
