The revised Annex specifies approved smoking cabins, vape cabins, smoking shelters, terraces, bars, and outdoor walkways where smoking or e-smoking is permitted despite the general smoking ban applicable across Parliament premises. The update follows previous technical revisions approved by the Bureau of the European Parliament in July 2024 and subsequent decisions by the Quaestors in October 2025 and April 2026. The rules continue to prohibit smoking throughout European Parliament premises except in specifically designated areas identified in the Annex. Several locations now explicitly include separate vape cabins for e-smoking. The decision entered into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
