Philippine FDA Proposes Phased Implementation Framework for Facilitated Registration of Household/Urban Hazardous Substances Products

On June 9th, 2026, the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA), through its Center for Cosmetics and Household/Urban Hazardous Substances Regulation and Research (CCHUHSRR), opened a public commenting period on a proposed Department of Health (DOH) Administrative Order titled “Adoption of a Phased Implementation Framework for the Facilitated Registration Pathway of Household/Urban Hazardous Substances (HUHS) Products.” The proposed order seeks to establish a phased implementation framework for a facilitated registration pathway applicable to HUHS products. The FDA invited comments from stakeholders, including manufacturers, distributors, traders, and other entities involved in the HUHS sector. The consultation period runs until June 11, 2026, during which stakeholders may submit comments and recommendations on the proposed framework.
