United States FDA's Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) have announced applications for the 2026 Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study Data User Workshop. The free virtual workshop will be offered in two identical sessions, scheduled for August 11–12 and September 17–18, 2026. The workshop is designed for academic researchers, research professionals, and graduate students interested in tobacco regulatory science and tobacco-related public health research. Participants will receive training on PATH Study data, including sample design, weighting methodologies, prevalence estimation, longitudinal analyses, and evaluating changes in tobacco use over time. Applications are open through June 29, 2026, with enrollment limited and admission based on a competitive selection process. The initiative aims to support the use of PATH Study data in tobacco research and regulatory science.
