Blue root Health of Middletown, Connecticut has expanded its voluntary recall of Vital Nutrients Aller-C dietary supplements due to the potential presence of undeclared egg, hazelnut, and soy, which may pose serious health risks to allergic consumers.
The recall, announced on 10 April 2026, initially covered lots 25E04-A and 25E04-B, but has now been expanded to include all product manufactured from lot 25E04. Individuals with allergies or severe sensitivities to egg, hazelnut, or soy may face serious or potentially life-threatening reactions if the product is consumed.
The affected supplements were distributed nationwide through VitalNutrients.co and other online retailers. Recalled products are sold in white plastic bottles containing 100 or 200 capsules, bearing lot numbers 25E04, 25E04-A, and 25E04-B, with an expiration date of May 2027.
The expanded recall underscores the importance of allergen control and labelling accuracy in the dietary supplement sector, particularly for products marketed to sensitive consumer groups. Consumers are advised to discontinue use of affected products and follow recall instructions provided by the company and regulators.
