On August 26, 2022, Health Canada declared that it has made several changes in its cosmetic ingredient hotlist. Ethylhexyl ethylhexanoate and Azelaic acid and its salts have been restricted for use in cosmetics. Entries of other ingredients like Retinoic acid and its salts; Eucalyptus oil; Peroxide and peroxide-generating compounds; and p-Hydroxyanisole are also amended in the list.
