The China National Inspection and Quarantine Office has issued a notice inviting public opinions on a series of draft technical guidelines aimed at standardising and advancing cosmetics safety assessment practices. These guidelines cover various aspects, including stability evaluation, challenge testing of preservatives, compatibility evaluation of cosmetics and packaging materials, and application of integrated testing strategies for skin sensitisation. Additionally, drafts for a cosmetics safety assessment data index and information on the use of cosmetic raw materials are included. Interested stakeholders are encouraged to review the drafts and provide feedback by April 17, 2024, on hzpbwh@nifdc.org.cn.
