Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) amends the label of packaged alcoholic beverages

FSANZ proposed draft variation requiring a declaration of energy content information in a prescribed format on packaged alcoholic beverages containing 0.5% or more ABV (alcohol by volume). The declaration's location is not specified. A three-year transition period is proposed, as well as a stock in-trade exemption for products packaged and labelled before the end of the transition period.
