This PLS highlights findings from the 2024 Lancet Commission, which indicate that up to 45% of dementia cases may be preventable by addressing midlife risk factors such as hearing loss, hypertension, inactivity, and alcohol use. These factors emerge between ages 40–65. Early intervention through primary care and NCD programs is vital, with clinicians playing a key role in identifying at-risk individuals.
