Health Canada has updated its Cosmetics Notification Form to include a feature that validates and requires a Canadian address in Section 4.
As of March 5, 2025, new or amended cosmetic notifications submitted to Health Canada must include this information in Section 4.
For an importer, the contact information of the person who manufactured or formulated the cosmetic must be provided in section 4. Use the contact type “Formulator or Third party manufacturer” to identify the person who formulated, manufactured or processed the cosmetic.

Please note that if the information in a previously submitted notification remains accurate, companies are not required to resubmit cosmetic notifications for products already notified. However, According to section 30 of the Cosmetic Regulations, if the information in the cosmetic notification becomes inaccurate, the manufacturer or importer must submit a revised notification within 10 days of the inaccuracy occurring. Failure to notify may result in a product being denied entry into Canada market or removed from sale.
