The Environmental Protection and Management Act 1999 (Amendment of Second Schedule) (No. 3) Order 2025, effective from March 24, 2025, introduces several amendments to the Second Schedule of the Act. Key changes include updates to the list of substances, such as Dechlorane plus and UV-328, and their usage restrictions. Specific products like adhesives, fillers, plastics, and medical devices are now more clearly defined with regard to their permitted uses and any exclusions.

The Order also revises the categorization of certain items in Part II of the Schedule, such as builders' materials, explosives, fireworks, paints, and lubricants, to exclude those containing Dechlorane plus or UV-328. Additionally, the definition of ""medical devices"" has been added, referencing the Health Products Act 2007. These amendments aim to further regulate hazardous substances and ensure a clearer framework for their management, reducing environmental impact from harmful chemicals.

The Order was made by Stanley Loh Ka Leung, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, Singapore.
