Key highlights include: Nutritional Information Display: Mandating that the percentage of Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) per serving for added sugars, saturated fats, and sodium be prominently displayed in bold font on packaging. Dairy Product Labeling: Requiring all milk and milk products, as defined under regulation 2.1.1 of the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011, to feature a specified logo indicating their dairy origin. Caffeine Content Declaration: Stipulating that products containing coffee-chicory mixtures must display specific declarations regarding caffeine content on the front of the package within a rectangular box, ensuring clarity for consumers. Stakeholders and the public are invited to review the draft and submit objections or suggestions within 60 days from the date of publication.
