The Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued Circular No. 2025-0001 to update the classification and permissible levels of vitamins and minerals in food and dietary supplements for adults. This circular replaces the previous standards set by Office Order No. 22 s. 1991, aligning them with international references such as those from ASEAN, Codex Alimentarius, FAO/WHO, EFSA, and USFDA. The objective is to ensure that manufacturers use safe levels of vitamins and minerals, thereby protecting consumer health.
